Fewell oversees first practice as Interim Head Coach

July 9, 2010 Updated Nov 18, 2009 at 1:01 PM EST Orchard Park - It's Perry Fewell's show over the next seven games and Wednesday the new interim head coach of the Buffalo Bills had his team on the practice field.

Fewell's first major decision will be what to do at quarterback this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Former coach Dick Jauron pulled Trent Edwards in favor of Ryan Fitzpatrick in Tennessee. Fewell said on Tuesday that he'll announce his decision on the starter this week following practice today.

Missing from practice were Marcus Stroud and Roscoe Parrish on Wednesday. Also absent was Demetrius Bell who suffered a knee injury in Sunday's loss to the Titans. Jairus Byrd and Ashton Youboty were both watching practice. DT Kyle Williams was back at practice on a limited basis. Terrence McGee was working out on his own after missing the Titans game with a knee injury.

The Bills announced that the team has signed free agent TE Joe Klopfenstein to the 53-man roster. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Bills also announced that the team has placed TE Derek Fine on Injured Reserve.
