BOSTON, MASS. - For the first time this season the Buffalo Sabres are on a losing streak. Buffalo fell to the Bruins 4-2 on Saturday.

21-year-old rookie goalie Jhonas Enroth made 33 saves in his NHL debut but received little help.

The Bruins scored two power play goals in the first period as Mark Recchi and Zdeno Chara got on the board.

Byron Bitz made it 3-0 Boston before Derek Roy scored for the Sabres. Roy notched his third goal of the season, scoring for the third straight game.

The second period ended with a Marco Sturm goal for the Bruins. Buffalo trailed 4-1 late in the game when Tyler Myers fed Jason Pominville in front of the net. Pominville scored to make it 4-2 but the Sabres never got closer.

Tuukka Rask made 28 saves for Boston.

The Sabres are off until Wednesday when they host Edmonton.
