The Buffalo Sabres signed free agent center Matt Ellis on Thursday to a one-year deal.
Ellis joined the Sabres just before last season after being
claimed off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings. In 45 games for
Buffalo, he scored a career-high seven goals and registered a
career-high 12 points.
The 27-year-old, who's also spent time with Detroit, has 20
points in 115 career NHL games.
