The Buffalo Bisons let a five-run and four-run lead slip away on Monday. The Charlotte Knights rallied to beat the Herd 12-7 in ten innings.
The Bisons took a five-nothing lead into the eighth inning, and a 7-3 lead into the ninth inning, before giving up four-runs in the top of the ninth.
Following the collapse, Buffalo had something cooking, as they loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the ninth. But Chip Ambres and Emil Brown struck out to end the frame.
Bisons hitting coach Bill Masse was ejected after arguing Ambres' called third strike.
The Knights put the finishing touches on the come-back win in the top of the tenth. Charlotte scored five runs in the extra inning to provide the final margin of victory.
The Bisons and Knights finish up their four-game series Tuesday night at 7:05pm.
