Craig Rivet ready to return for Sabres

Sabres Captain Craig Rivet is ready to make his return to game action Tuesday night against the Ottawa Senators. Rivet has missed the last 11 games with a shoulder injury.

Tim Connolly is also closing in on his return. Connolly has been sidelined with a rib injury since the middle of November. The Sabres expect him to get back in the line-up by the end of the weekend.

Buffalo is 2-and-0 to start 2009 following wins at Toronto and Boston.
