Canisius Wins In Nation's Capital

WASHINGTON (AP) - Greg Logins had 22 points and 14 rebounds to
lead Canisius College to a 70-46 victory over Howard University on
Monday night.
Logins scored 10 points as Canisius (3-3) took control with a
17-4 run late in the first half. Logins shot 8 of 16 from the field
and was perfect on six free throws in the Golden Griffins' first
stop on a five-game road trip.
Logins grabbed 12 of his rebounds on the offensive end and
Canisius outrebounded Howard 56-25.
Julius Coles and Frank Turner scored 13 points apiece for
Canisius.
Paul Kirkpatrick led Howard (1-5) with 12 points and eight
rebounds. Eugene Myatt had 11 points and Calvin Thompson added 10.
The victory was the first on the road this season for Canisius,
which is playing a stretch of seven of nine games away from home.
