Crowell Placed on Injured Reserve

July 9, 2010 Updated Sep 4, 2008 at 5:14 PM EST

The Buffalo Bills have placed linebacker Angelo Crowell on injured reserve after he underwent arthroscopic knee surgery Thursday, meaning he will miss the entire 2008 season.

The teams starting strong-side linebacker had been bothered by swelling in his knee throughout training camp, but had worked out with the team all week before having the surgery Thursday. Keith Ellison wil replace Crowell in the lineup this season, starting Sunday against Seattle.

7 Sports was the only news camera at the Bills practice Thursday morning, and we'll have Head Coach Dick Jauron's reaction to Crowell's injury on 7 News at 6 and 11pm.
