Tribe Recalls Francisco

2007 International League batting champion Ben Francisco has been recalled by the Cleveland Indians. Francisco, who was hitting .228 for the Bisons, will make his second trip to Cleveland this season.

Francisco will take Jason Michaels spot on the Indians roster. Michaels was designated for assignment Tuesday, and will have to be traded or released in the next ten days.

The Indians also signed OF Bronson Sardinha to a minor-league contract Tuesday. Sardinha played eight games for Triple-A Tacoma this season, hitting .323 with 5 RBIs. He is expected to report to the Bisons in the next couple days.
