Edith Shaw OF Pinellas Park, FL formerly of Lockport, NY wife of the late David Shaw entered into rest Friday, October 30, 2009 in Bon Secours Maria Manor St. Petersburg, FL.
She was born in Newfane, NY August 3, 1922, the daughter of the late Frank and Bessie Hoffman Klumpp. Edith worked for Harrison Radiator for several years. She moved to Florida in 2006 coming from Lockport, NY. Member of the UAW Travel Club, and enjoyed traveling for many years. She enjoyed ceramics and crocheting.
Mother of Gerald Alvord of Pinellas Park, FL and the late David Alvord and Carol Woolston. Sister of Virginia (William) Perkins of Newfane, Shirley (Clifford) Burger of Appleton, Jean Hammond of Lockport, Franklin (Sally) Klumpp of Burt, Allan (Deanna) Klumpp of Lockport and the late Kenneth, Leonard and Elwin Klumpp. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY WEDNESDAY 2-4 & 7-9 where funeral services will be held THURSDAY at 12:00 noon. Burial will be in Corwin Cemetery. Memorials to Niagara Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
