Dorothy A. Britting ( nee Garlapo) age 85, of the City of Tonawanda, passed away Friday October 30, 2009 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
Mrs. Britting was born in the City of Tonawanda March 11, 1924 to the late Frank and Alice ( nee Wolf) Garlapo.
Mrs. Britting graduated from Tonawanda High School
Dorothy was a bookkeeper at Jenss Department Stores for 59 years she had just retired January 1, 2009
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in North Tonawanda and a member of the Ruth Circle.
Mrs. Britting is predeceased by her husband the late Verne Britting who passed away in 1985 and her brother the late Donald Garlapo who passed away in 1999.
She is survived by her sister- in - law and dearest friend Joan Garlapo of the Town of Tonawanda.
Friends may call TUESDAY 2-4 PM at the WATTENGEL Funeral Home 307 Oliver Street North Tonawanda where Funeral Services will follow at 4:00 PM the Rev. Dr. Greg Crispell will officiate.
Private interment will be in Clarence Fillmore Cemetery.
