The Buffalo Zoo will hold a news conference Wednesday to make an announcement about a "major animal group."
The zoo is not revealing what animal group will be discussed, only saying "given the significance of this particular announcement, the Zoo felt a press conference to provide background and question and answer opportunity was warranted."
The news conference will take place at 9:30 a.m., before the zoo opens at 10 a.m.
The Buffalo Zoo is the third oldest zoo in the country. Since 2002, it has undergone a multi-year, multi-million dollar expansion that has added Sea Lion Cove, M&T Bank Rainforest Falls and, most recently, Arctic Edge to its list of attractions.
