Sydney Dobmeier has a busy schedule.

When the 7-year old isn't in school, at soccer practice, or at dance recital, she is developing her confidence on her new two-wheel bicycle.

She has a couple months to get comfortable on the two-wheeler before the annual Ride for Roswell in June.

"I am a little nervous," Dobmeier said.

But she's got experience on her side.  This year will be her fourth 3-mile Ride.  She started when she was four years old.

"I first got interested when my parents came home from it, and I said can I ride my bike with you? And they said yes. And ever since then I started riding my bike for the Ride for Roswell."

For Dobmeier, it's all about raising money for the patients.

"I raise money so the kids and adults in the hospital can feel better and get a cure."

And she does it all year long.  Dobmeier trades in recycling bottles for change at the local supermarket, and sells cupcakes at her family's annual garage sale.

"But mostly people don't want to take the cupcakes. They just want to put money in her Ride for Roswell piggy bank," Sydney's mom Kristin said.

At Sydney's birthday parties, she asks her friends to donate to the Ride for Roswell instead of give her a gift.

Every year, the young rider increases her fundraising goal by $1,000. This year, she hopes to raise $4,000.
