You may see #givingtuesday trending online Tuesday. It's a worldwide effort to drum up support for local organizations that help people in different communities.

Community Missions on Buffalo Avenue in Niagara Falls has participated for the past three years. Volunteers and local businesses take part in a full day of service to help support Community Missions.

"We'll be having some volunteers come out and work in our soup kitchen, our food pantry and helping with our clients," said Reverend Mark Breese. "We'll be doing a bunch of work in the pantry like ripping up the carpet and putting in new floor this year."

Helping complete the renovation are 50 Leadership Niagara students from area high schools and Isaiah 61 Project volunteers.

New this year are multiple partnerships with area restaurants. A portion of each restaurant's profit on Tuesday will be donated to Community Missions.
