Women and Children's Hospital is calling on musically talented Western New Yorkers to help send newborn babies into dream land.

The hospital has launched the Oishei Children's Hospital Lullaby Contest. Musicians of all ages are invited to record and submit their own rendition of Brahms' Lullaby.

The winning rendition will be played to celebrate the birth of every baby at the new hospital on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, continuing a long-standing tradition that began at the current Bryant Street site.

Entries will be judged by a panel that includes Robby Takac from the Goo Goo Dolls, Buffalo Music Hall of Fame inductee Janice Mitchell and Colored Musicians Club President George Scott.

In addition to having the audio recording featured in the new hospital, the winner will also receive a $1,500 cash prize. The second-place finalist will win two season tickets to the 2017-2018 M&T Bank Broadway Series at Shea's Performing Arts Center. The third-place finalist can choose between two season passes to Darien Lake or two Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra 'Classics Power Pack' tickets.

The contest runs from now through September 15th.
