Two years ago to this exact day, October 13, 2015, the old Millard Fillmore Hospital imploded. The all new Canterbury Woods Gates Circle took its' place.

It's a 42 millions dollar project featuring 58 apartments, including five assisted living units.

Juliet Kline was the first to move into her new Canterbury Woods apartment. She says she already feels at home.

Kline says this retirement community will be offering all kinds of activities, which she can't wait to start.

"I really felt like this is for me," Kline said. "I got whatever I thought I wanted."

But the old Millard Fillmore Hospital holds memories for Kline.

"My husband died in that hospital," she said. "So I feel that I'm here with him in a certain way."

Kline has four daughters and one lives just a mile down the road.

"I am so happy for my mother. I think this is the best move she could have made at this time in her life," Mary Bacon said.

Canterbury woods says 20 apartments will be filled by the end of October.
