A Brocton woman is facing charges after State Police say she stabbed a woman in the neck from behind.
Police say they were called to Westfield Hospital where the victim told them 23-year-old Stephanie Metzler approached her from behind and stabbed her in the neck with a knife. The woman also said Metzler took her cell phone, smashed in on the ground, and continued to assault her.
Troopers say that woman's injuries were consistent with her story, and when they found Metzler police say she had the knife with her.
Metzler is charged with Assault and Criminal Mischief. She was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.
