Survey: Unaffiliated with religion growing

Data from the Pew Research Center shows attitudes on religion are changing in America.  While a new survey found that 77% of Americans have remained as religiously engaged as they were seven years ago, the Pew study found that the number of people unaffiliated (such as atheist, agnostic or nothing) has continued to grow especially among the young Millennial generation.

The change is a concern for Western New York denominations as they seek to find new ways to engage people of their respective faiths.

7 Eyewitness News reporter Ed Reilly spent the day talking to members of the Roman Catholic and Non-Orthodox Jewish faiths about the issue.
