Nearly a week after Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico, at least one Western New Yorker is still looking to contact loved ones.

"It's been six days already." said Maritza Feliciano "I just want my mom to cal and say "I'm ok."

Feliciano is using Zello, a communication app, to attempt to contact family, but is also growing concerned vital supplies aren't reaching her hometown.

"They just need help... They don't have food, they don't have water, they don't have medication."

Here in Western New York, local groups are gathering supplies to send to the island, and Chito Olivencia says his group will be bringing help to the island within the next few months.

"We need to let them know that Western New York took part in this, and let them know that what they're recieving that dya came from all the residents of Western New York."
