Monday, plans were once again halted for the opening of Deep South Taco on Hertel.
This time, 7 Eyewitness News has learned it was the decision of the owner to table the new restaurants' proposal at this weeks Buffalo Planning Board Meeting.
Last week, owner Richard Hamilton said the plans were questioned by residents. They wanted to know how parking would be handled, about the noise level and more.
A meeting held last week gave residents a chance to voice their opinions and concerns.
With there still being some backlash, Hamilton says he needs to have a private meeting with the concerned residents before moving forward.
Hamilton said changes made to the design to please residents included eliminating an outdoor front patio.
After Hamilton meets with the residents, he tells 7 Eyewitness News the next step is approval by the Buffalo Common Council.
