After a long winter, Western New Yorkers are heading to warmer destinations for Easter.
A recent AAA study showed that 88-million Americans plan to take family vacations this year.
According to the study, the top Easter vacations from Western and Central New York are:
Top Destinations by Car:
- Charleston, SC
- Florida (Disney)
- Hilton Head, SC & Myrtle Beach, SC
- Outer Banks, NC
- Washington, D.C.
Top Destinations by Air:
- Cruises
- Dominican Republic
- Florida, incl. Orlando: Disney/Universal
- Jamaica
- Mayan Riviera/Cancun
The holiday is peak time for spring break travel, so travelers should be prepared for crowds and give themselves plenty of time on the roads and in the airports.
