Western New York Independent Living, Inc. and over a dozen community partners joined together to form a Disability Pride Celebration and Parade, that takes place this weekend.
The celebration is in honor of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA.)
Saturday from 10-3pm at Canalside people can enjoy sailing and other activities with Adaptive Water Sports.
Sunday from 9-5pm at Delaware Park, there will be a Parade around the Park, which starts at 9am. The parade is followed by a celebration in the Green Space by Colvin Ave. and Amherst St. involving entertainment, free food and games.
The Western New York Independent Living, Inc. family of agencies offer services to aid individuals with disabilities to take control of their own lives.
