Weather causes winter parking restrictions to be reinstated

The weather took away the winter parking bans - and then brought them right back.

Due to the winter storm warning, winter parking bans have been temporarily reinstated in the Town of Cheektowaga and the Village of Kenmore.

The Town of Cheektowaga says its ban goes into effect Monday, March 13 and will last through Thursday, March 16.

The Village of Kenmore did not specify dates for the reinstated parking ban, but asked its residents to keep their cars off the street for "salting and plowing during the next several days."

The Town of Tonawanda is temporarily reinstating its ban Monday, March 13 through Sunday, March 18.

The Depew Police Department reminds its residents that the Depew parking ban is still in effect. "Although our patrols have been extremely lenient during the recent warmer temperatures, all vehicles will need to be off the roadways withint the Village during this week's snow event," said the department.

The Town of West Seneca is reinstating its street parking ban from Monday, March 13 through Thursday, March 16.

The City of Buffalo is reinstating the overnight winter parking rues on bus routes on Monday, March 13. The rules are in place between the hours of 1:30 a.m. and 7 a.m.

The Town and Village of Hamburg reinstated the overnight winter parking ban Monday until further notice. There is no overnight parking on any streets in the town or village or the Village of Blasdell from 1-6 a.m.
