Buffalo police closed parts of Hertel Avenue, overnight Friday, after a water main break flooded the street.

Hertel Avenue is closed from Military to Page as a result. That's a stretch of road from West Hertel Academy just about to the United States Post Office.
Buffalo Water dispatchers say a crew is on the scene assessing the situation, though it's unclear if this will be fixed in the overnight hours. They are working to shut off the water.
It's unclear how long the road will be closed.
