BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - Friday night was warm and a great opportunity to kickoff the St. Patrick's Day weekend festivities.
The third annual Live at O'Larkin brings out those thirsty for a chance to celebrate to Larkin Square and the "luck of the Irish" provided great weather.
"The leprechauns looked upon us tonight. I can't believe that after everyone's experience with this very challenging winter, to have it go up to 50 degrees this afternoon was amazing. Everyone was just so ready for spring and so ready to come out," said Leslie Zemsky Director of Fun for Larkin Square.
A staple of Larkin Square in the summer is local food trucks. No one is happier to see warmer weather than they are. It's tough to keep customers coming around when it's below zero outside.
"Truck services were really rough. So if trucks were just doing truck services, it was probably tough, and a lot of trucks I know closed down straight up for the winter," Dana Szczpaniak, co-owner of the Betty Crockski food truck remarked.
All three of Friday night's acts gathered for a rousing show closer, which is just a sample of the green weekend ahead and the warm green spring everyone is hoping for.
