New York State Police arrested an Albion man Saturday for making unlawful vehicle and traffic stops.
An investigation began April 6th from a complaint made against 59-year-old Walter R. Batt. During the investigation, the Orleans County Sheriff's Office was contacted to determine is Batt was affiliated with the department.
Batt was not employed or otherwise affiliated with the sheriff's office.
According to NYSP, Batt identified himself as an Albion Volunteer Fireman and had emergency lights on his vehicle.
Batt will appear in court in May.
