A local developer announces his own ideas about the future of the Buffalo Bills.
Rocco Termini is proposing a plan to move the franchise north of the border to Hamilton, Ontario.
Termini says he's thinking long term, and says a move to Southern Ontario would help draw more corporate sponsors from places like Toronto.
"No matter what we do to our present stadium when that lease is up - - we're going to lose the team," Termini tells Eyewitness News. "So instead of being short sighted, we need to place the team in Ontario where you would get all the corporate sponsors from."
Mayor Bob Bratina of Ontario says after learning of Termini's idea, he did place a call to him.
However, in a statement to Eyewitness News, Bratina calls this a "blue sky" proposal, which lacks details concerning funding, a stadium site and so far no interest from the Buffalo Bills.
