Cheektowaga, NY -- Friends of little Isabella Tennant, who was murdered in Niagara Falls in late August, want to build a playground in her honor.

The new playground features slides, swings and monkey bars. It will go on the southeast side of Stiglmeier Park in Cheektowaga.

The family chose that park because Bella loved to go there.

Bella Aunt, Deb Tennant, says "everyday she would beg her dad, me or whoever swing me on the swings dad, daddy swing me on the swings, it was all about the swings she loved the park. She loved the slides, she loved everything about the park and this is why this means so much."

$15-thousand is needed for the playground.

Construction is set to begin next month.

A benefit will be held on October 14th at the Town Ballroom where all of the proceeds will go towards playground materials.
