BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - A new law to end commingling will go before the Buffalo Common Council on Tuesday, according to Councilman Darius Pridgen.
Pridgen's proposal to end commingling in downtown Buffalo, the practice of allowing adults ages 18-20 to commingle in bars with people are can legally consume alcohol, has been modified slightly.
The law will allow commingling on Thursday nights, but that exemption will now expire in October under a deal reached with the mayor's office.
In October, the council will review the exemption and decide if it should continue, Pridgen said.
Without the amendment, the proposal would have likely not received the necessary support from Mayor Byron Brown, who was considering a veto.
