Dangerous weather can strike anywhere and at any time of day.

In recent weeks, there has been major flooding in Texas, as well as a number of multi-day severe weather outbreaks across the United States

Imagine having the peace of mind in knowing you and your family can receive severe weather warnings any time of day, on any device (even a landline phone).

Welcome to the latest warning system developed by the makers of the Storm Shield app: Storm Shield Phone Call Alerts.

Storm Shield Phone Call Alerts is a subscription-based weather warning system that calls you makes phone call warns to a subscriber’s street address when a tornado warning or severe thunderstorm warning or flash flood warning is issued.

Storm Shield Phone Call Alerts helps reduce false alarms by alerting you to severe weather based on your registered address within a county. Many other products still use county-based alerts (meaning you'd get an alert even if your location in the county is not within the threatened area).

“With Phone Call Alerts, if your registered address is inside the warning area from the National Weather Service, you’ll get a phone call, even if it’s a landline or older model cell phone,” said Dan Sobczak, director of digital weather at The E.W. Scripps Co. “Our team of meteorologists will call you anytime day or night to warn you of the need to take action.”

Storm Shield Phone Call Alerts has three subscription plans available, ranging from one to three locations that allow subscribers to receive warnings at their home address, while on vacation or even where other family members or friends live.

The Storm Shield Phone Call Alert system complements the Storm Shield App for smartphone users. The app allows smartphone users to customize their warnings from more than 100 options for up to five different locations.
