Governor Cuomo announced the tractor trailer travel restrictions on interstates and the thruway have been lifted.
Tractor trailers were banned from driving on the New York State thruway, I-81, I-86/Route 17, I-87 North of Albany and I-88 throughout the course of Storm Stella.
"The tractor trailer bans we issued for impacted state roadways across New York State protected residents and allowed emergency teams to effectively respond to extreme weather conditions and safety work to clear roadways throughout the state," said Governor Cuomo. "As crews continue to aggressively plow roads, I encourage motorists to stay home and allow these hard working men and women to do their jobs as best they can to ensure the safety of all New Yorkers."
