Firefighters had to rescue two people from a car after it was involved in a collision late Thursday night.

It happened at the intersection of Dingens Street and S. Rossler Avenue just before 11:30 p.m.  Two vehicles, a Pontiac and Ford Pickup, collided causing both of them to roll onto their sides.

Two women in the Pontiac had to be rescued from the car.  Firefighters used hydraulic tools to cut the roof of the car away to free the trapped occupants.  They were taken to Erie County Medical Center from treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries.

The driver of the pickup was not injured and was talking with police.

More information about the crash is expected to be released later Friday morning.
