Two people died in a car-tractor trailer crash in Orleans County Wednesday morning.
According to the Orleans County Sheriff's Office, a car traveling north on Eagle Harbor Road in Barre stopped at the intersection of Route 31A. As that car made a left into the intersection, deputies said a tractor trailer slammed into it. The tractor trailer had the right of way, according to deputies.
The male car driver was flown by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, where he died. A female passenger in the car was pronounced dead on scene. Their names are being withheld pending notification of family.
The truck driver was not injured.
