Two people were flown to the hospital late Wednesday night, after a serious motorcycle crash right near Darien Lake.

Now, deputies are trying to figure out what caused the crash.

Genesee County deputies say the motorcycle driver actually hit two cars in concert traffic, before taking off, just before midnight on Route 77.

Deputies on traffic control tried to get the driver to pull over, but they just kept going, before tumbling and crashing into an area full of weeds.

A deputy was a distance away, when he said he saw the headlight do a somersault.

"We have some background work, as to find out where they were, where they were coming from, see if there's any other cause, maybe alcohol, you don't know," Chief Deputy Gordon Dibble said.

A man and woman were both thrown from the motorcycle.  Deputies say the man was found right under the motorcycle.  The woman was found 30-feet away.  The victims have been identified as Eric R. Brumstead, of East Bethany, and 43-year-old Andrea M. Farruggia.

They were flown to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.  Their conditions are unknown.
