Police in the City of Tonawanda are investigating a string of car larcenies over the weekend.

Police say there were 21 larcenies, with the bulk of them happening Friday into Saturday morning. The thefts happened in the area of Rogers Drive, Murray Terrace and Mosher Drive.

Police say laptops, Kindles, money and lottery tickets were stolen along with some smaller items like electric cords and loose change.

Detectives have some physical evidence and are following other leads.

Police say two of the vehicles were parking in garages with the garage doors left open. Officers say all the vehicles were left unlocked and all the drivers side visors were down, meaning the thief(s) were also checking for any car keys.

Police are asking anyone with video or any information to call 716-692-2121.
