New York State Police issued more than 21,000 tickets during this year's "Speed Week" crack down.

Between June 7th and June 13th, State Police were on alert for drivers who were speeding or acting aggressively on the roads.  More than 10,000 of those drivers were ticketed for speeding, about 700 were ticketed for distracted driving, and more than 300 violated the Move Over Law.  Police also found more than 1,300 seatbelt violations.

State Police gave a breakdown of the tickets issued in each area in New York State.  In Western New York, 860 speeding tickets were issued, 15 people were arrested for DWI, 198 were ticketed for improperly retstraining children or not wearing their seatbelt, and seven were ticketed for not following the Move Over Law.
