It's an unusual shop with a catchy name. It's called Paranormal Oddities. Owner Joe Pieri got hooked on ghost hunting two decades ago, but admits that it's not for everyone, saying "It's the odd, the unusual, people are sort of afraid of the ghosts."
Joe ain't afraid of no ghosts. He's encountered his fair share of phantoms"they can come in any size, they can be big blobs or a white mist." Most of Joe's encounters have been pleasant, however he adds "all the years I've done this, I've maybe run into one or two that were not friendly."
The shop features a little of everything including Ouija Boards, Voodoo Items and shrunken heads. Joe sells EMF meters that are essential for ghost hunters. It's an instrument that lights up for ghosts.
Joe says that as far as he knows, there are no ghosts in his shop, but he does have a few items that have had paranormal activity "attached to them." He keeps those things in a locked cabinet, in one corner of the store because as he says "it gives us a chance to study the paranormal on site."
Paranormal Oddities offers classes, visiting mediums and even advice about ghosts, Joe says "we scare ghosts as much as they scare us."
