Want to get involved in Western New York's history? The Herschell Carrousel museum is looking for volunteers for its upcoming season.

Volunteers give tours of the North Tonawanda factory to groups of school children on field trips and to adult groups. You can also become a carrousel operator and help run both the 1916 full-sized carrousel and the 1930's kiddie carrousel. Carrousel operators must be 18 years-old and 16-years-old respectively.

You can download the volunteer application right now at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum's website, or call (716) 693-1885.

The museum is located at 180 Thompson St., North Tonawanda.
