Companies to change food labels

Let's face it...sometimes food labels can be confusing. We see everything from "sell by" to "use by" to "best before" and we end up throwing out a lot of food that may still be good.

Some of the biggest food companies are now getting rid of those labels and making it easier for all of us.

Kellogg's, Walmart, Campbell's Soup and Nestle are some of the big names who agreed to do this. They say they're going to start using just two labels on food, it will say "use by" as the the expiration date for perishable food, and "best if used by" as the indicator on non-perishable food to show the quality may not be good after that date--but still safe to eat.
