A group of 10-year-olds are trying to make Buffalo a better place to live.

Clementine, Hannah and Allison are 5th graders at Tapestry Charter School in Buffalo, and they've made it a goal to pick up 100 pounds of garbage in Buffalo.

It started as an afterschool project. The girls continued throughout the summer, and now are doing it every weekend.

They've enjoyed the project so much, they're extending it and hoping to create an afterschool program where other kids can join.

They've surpassed their 100 pound goal.
