Town Hall Meeting about H1N1 Virus
It was a packed auditorium at Visual and Performing Arts academy this morning. The state health commissioner is in town, to talk about preparing for the swine flu virus. And while vaccines will start to be available in October, Dr. Richard Daines is encouraging everyone to get the shot for influenza. The vaccine will go to different sites throughout the site. At first, it will go to four specific groups. Babies between 6 and 24 months, health care professionals, pregnant women, and people with underlying illnesses. Another announcement this morning regarding the H1N1 virus. The Buffalo Public School District has hired a medical director.
