Suspect robbed Allegany County bank and Crosby's; now identified

New York State Police announced the suspect that robbed an Allegany County bank on July 24, has been identified. 

Police say 27-year-old Chase H. Lotter, of Genesee, NY, robbed the Steuben Trust Bank at 319 Main Street in Bolivar, NY.

Lotter entered the bank and demanded money by a handwritten note.

He was given an undisclosed amount of money and exited on foot.

According to police, Lotter also robbed a Crosby's gas station on State Highway 19 in the Town of Amity Monday. 

He demanded the clerk give him all the money in the register and the clerk complied. 

Lotter threatened the use of a gun but never presented one.

According to police, Lotter is believed to be operating a stolen green Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, with NY registration 47120JK.

Police say not to approach Lotter, he is considered dangerous.
