If you want your daughter to have the title of CEO, you might want to sign her up for sports now.  A new study by Ernst & Young shows that, "among senior business women in the C-suite today, 94% played sports."  The C-suite refers to the floor where top management, like CEOs, COOs and CFOs, would have their offices.

The results of that study make sense to leadership expert James Lemoine, who works at UB. "We know that the skills related to sports are very related to leadership emergence and effectiveness," he explained.  "Conscientiousness, a sense of responsibility, wanting to be there for your team, a competitive drive, we want to win - we want to win the championship - is that really that different from we want to be the number one company in the field?"

Even though there's a very strong correlation between women who played sports and women who are top in their field, a study by Michigan State University found that 70% of kids in the U.S. drop out of organized sports by the time they're 13.
