Students watch Pope as they prepare for trip

As millions tuned in to see Pope Francis address Congress for the very first time, students at Canisius College joined in.

Students tell 7 Eyewitness News that they're excited to be able to witness history, especially something happening so close to home.

Canisius, like some other schools, is sending a group of students to Philadelphia for Pope Francis' trip.

Students going say as the trip draws closer the excitement is building even more and they can't wait to experience it first hand.

Father Michael Tunney from Canisius says plain and simply the Pope coming to the United States "rocks!" and that he hopes students can take the Pope's messages and apply them to every day life.
