Hundreds of local students packed the First Niagara Center, Monday, to catch the Buffalo Sabres in action.
They attended practice as part of a S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering and Match) event, to show how math and science can be used in the field of sports.
"It shows them there is much more to hockey than just some players themselves," said West Seneca East Middle School teacher, Rae Zimmerman. "The equipment plays a role and how they use the equipment plays a role."
