The "Snowvember Storm" caused extensive damage with officials in Hamburg estimating the amount of destruction could be in the millions of dollars.

Roofs collapsed at Schmidt's Collision & Glass and Mr. Tire on Lake Street. Emergency demolition is ordered for Schmidt's, and it is unknown if the Mr.Tire building can be saved.

Colley's Pools & Spas suffered extreme damage to the building, which is twisted, and the roof ruptured along the ridgeline.

BJ's Wholesale Club in Blasdell will remain closed for the foreseeable future because heavy snow caused a major support beam to twist and compromised the roof.

The Town of Hamburg also lost a barn, several greenhouses, and there are numerous reports of damage to commercial and residential structures.

Town of Hamburg Supervisor Steven Walters is telling all residents and business owners to make sure they properly record damage with photographs, descriptions, and receipts for repairs.

It is hoped that the damage from the record setting lake effect snow storm will qualify for federal reimbursement through FEMA.
