The Soma Cura Wellness Center plans to ride the tails of the latest trend when it brings cat yoga to Grand Island this weekend.
In the effort to support local animal shelters, the center will team with Second Chance Animal Rescue and HEART Animal Rescue to host these events.
Friday at 7 p.m. marks the start of the first session with Second Chance rescue, and the other will take place on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Soma Cura plans to run cat yoga every month after this, rotating in the different shelters in the community.
Classes are open to all, with all proceeds raised going to the participating shelters.
