Safety restrictions are now being implemented at some Niagara County Parks as a result of recent heavy rains.

In Olcott, a bank slide along Lake Ontario is forcing the County Parks Department to seal off a portion of the area.

Signs are also being posted along a hiking trail at the Royalton Ravine where soil erosion caused a staircase there to fall.

People are being told to be extra cautious while visiting any county park.

Niagara County government will update the public when the areas reopen.
