Can stress increase your risk of developing cancer?

That's one topic that will be discussed Wednesday in the first of a 10-week series of free, informational sessions hosted by Roswell Park Cancer Institute along the Buffalo waterfront.

'Wellness on the Water' will take place every Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. in the VIP Tent at Canalside through August 16th.

Week One, entitled 'Stress and Your Cancer Risk,' will be led by Dr. Elizabeth Repasky. She will discuss new research on how stress can affect a person's immune system and what you can do about it.

'Your Immune System and Immunotherapy' will follow on June 21st and feature Dr. Sharon Evans, who will describe how immunotherapy uses the immune system to kill cancer cells.

Future weekly topics will be listed on Roswell Park'sFacebook page.
