Monday saw it's fair share of rain and it may be the reason for the partial collapse of a home in Buffalo.

Crews were called to the scene on Lisbon Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Ramona Hall is thankful her whole family is safe after part of the foundation of her apartment collapsed.

Hall tells 7 Eyewitness News she was cooking in her kitchen when she heard something she couldn't ignore.

"I kept on hearing crackling noises and it kept on sounding like glass was breaking. Then I heard a big boom," said Hall. "You could see the walls shaking and you could hear it just crashing in."

Hall says she rushed to get her family out safely.

"We were scrambling to the back door, front door. We didn't know where to run at first," said Hall.

It's unclear whether it was entirely weather related, but Monday's storm likely didn't help.

The Red Cross was on scene to assist in any way possible, something Hall's grateful for. She says things haven't been easy lately. Hall was recently diagnosed with colon cancer and starts chemo soon.
