The Erie County Board of Elections announced Wednesday it would extend office hours in preparation of the upcoming voter registration deadline.

Anyone who wants to register by mail or change their party affiliation can do so up until Friday, October 14.

The office will be open the following hours for anyone wishing to do either of those things in person:

  • Thursday, October 13 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Friday, October 14, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The office will also be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 15 for a state-mandated Local Registration Day. These Local Registration Days are required by state voting law and occur before every Presidential election.

Anyone who misses Friday's mail-in deadline can report in-person on Saturday to register to vote.

Please note, you cannot change your party affiliation at that time, nor can you turn-in any bulk voter registration applications from a voter-registration drive.

Any questions, please call the Voter Registration Department at 858-8891.
